Well here is my take on the challenge... I was really loved the blocked layout on the home page and the white background.... so I took that as my inspiration.
Balance is something that I am aiming for in my life this year... note I said aiming LOL. I have actually printed this layout out in 5x7 inch size and I'm going to stick on my fridge to act as a reminder.

I agree, i love the way this layout is. The blocks draw you to it, as does the simple, clean, crisp feel.
