***COMING 3/6 - Sisterly Love by Kristin Cronin-Barrow and Wild Dandelion Designs (Meghan Mullens)***
Font: SF Straight Up
The journaling reads:
The joy in my life most likely does not have the same meaning as the joy
in yours. You see, joy in my life does not bring about an emotional
feeling for me but rather, the face of my hero, my best friend, my sister,
the first meaning of Joy that I ever knew. I have always looked up to my
sister and she has always impacted my life and defined a part of me. But,
as we have grown older, become wives, mothers and now grandmothers, the
ways she impacts my life has evolved and grown into a beautiful gift. You
see, Joy, is a person like no other I know. Not only is she someone that
anyone would be lucky to call their friend, she is a loving and doting
mother, a caring and supportive wife, a sympathetic and caring daughter
but she is a sister like no other. There are so many reasons I love my
sister and each and every day I am reminded in small ways of why she is
such a meaningful part of my life. But, above all, the reasons I love
her, are these. She ALWAYS has time for me. No matter what she is doing
or what challenges she is facing in her own life, she puts anything and
everything aside for me. There are times in our lives that she has faced
major milestones and turning points and through it all, found the strength
to make my world a better and brighter place. She amazes me with her
ability to remain objective and unbiased even in situations when she is
negatively impacted. She looks at every situation from an outside
perspective and has the best way of giving me that view point even when it
may not be the one I want to see or hear. She has a level of commitment
and dedication to work that reminds me of our Father. She is a winner,
not a quitter and does not know the meaning of giving up or giving in.
She will work through the worst of illnesses, headaches and stressful
situations and do i all with such an attitude that you don’t know she is
living with or being affected by these things. Also like our Father, she
has an unprecedented level of intelligence that I am envious of. She fits
in with any crowd, always being able to communicate on any level. And her
good genes don’t stop there, she has a loving and nurturing way about her
that can only come from a long line of exceptional mothers, like the ones
before us. Her children are one of the many first priorities in her life
and with all of her responsibilities and time constraints in life, she
never falls short on being a wonderful Mother. Not only are her children
loved, they are loved well. As a wife, she is a constant supporter and
friend to her husband. She is faithful, appreciative and passionate with
an undying love through the good times and the bad. She stays in touch
with the ones she cares about and she always lets you know that she cares.
She loves everyone and has compassion for all. She makes me laugh.
She is my better half, the voice inside me, the driving force when I think
I can not go on. Through her strength, I am given strength. She makes me
want to be a better wife, mother, sister and friend. She makes me want to
be a better ME. My Joy truly is the greatest Joy I will ever know.
