Yes I know - it's a tad sacrilegious to use a Star Wars kit for a Star Trek
layout, lol. But hey - I'm a Trekkie and personally, I can't stand Star Wars :P

I?m pretty sure I don?t look it, and I definitely don?t shout it to the world, but
I?m a Trekkie and have been for years now. I can actually remember the first
time I saw Star Trek. I was 10 and it was rare when I would actually have control
over what was watched on TV. So on a Saturday when it was just me, I
surfed all 6 channels that we had until I came across Star Trek and decided to
see what it was all about. I was slightly scared of aliens at the time, thanks
to the show Unsolved Mysteries, which liked to talk about faces on Mars and
abductions in the night. Despite being a little freaked about the giant headed,
green alien in the show, I thought Star Trek was pretty good. And the rest
is history. I soon got my own little black & white TV that was a whopping 7
inches (if that) across. I saw my first episode of TNG, one with a really cute boy
(Wil Wheaton) getting kidnapped, and really enjoyed that. I discovered Star Trek
books and checked out any I could find from the library. I continued to keep
my obsession to myself - especially in high school. But I never kept it from my closet
friends. I even got my California valley girl best friend to go to the movies with me.
She saw Generations, First Contact and Insurrection with me. Now that?s a best
friend! I watched the premieres of both DS9 and VOY with child-like glee! And even
when the shows weren?t beloved by the critics, I watched anyways, loving
every minute of it all. I even used the last series Enterprise to help me quit
smoking. Day after day, I immersed myself into the world of Star Trek, and it
helped me get through any cravings I had! And now, with the reinvention of the
Star Trek universe with the new movie - my love for Trek just continues to grow!
