In a few short weeks you’ll be seven, and I want you to know how proud I am of you. This year I’ve watched you work hard to master new skills (netball, skipping, bike riding, tying shoe laces), persevering until you get it right. I’ve witnessed how loving and thoughtful you are to your little sister, and how kind and loyal you are to your friends. I’ve been on the receiving end of your thankyou notes that told me how much you loved me and how grateful you were for some little thing I’d done for you. I saw you struggle with Daddy’s absence at times, but I also saw you grow stronger from it, and support Elisa when she needed you too. You are an amazing person honey, you’ve grown a lot this past year and Daddy and I are very proud of you.
