I look at this picture and see not just the four of us but my biggest dream come true. A family of my own. It wasn’t easy for us that’s for sure but it was well worth the effort. This year marks seven years since we started trying to have a family. Having gone through IVF three times, nine IUIs, one life threatening ectopic and five losses. I now for the first time in my life feel a sense of completion and contentment that I have never felt before. I am blessed with two beautiful and amazing children. Children that at one point I didn’t think I would ever have but they both seem to have arrived in their own good time and they both feel so meant to be. Elle and Leo are perfect in every way. They fill my days with so much love and happiness. There is so much pride and joy in my heart now.
I look at this picture and I see the four of us. Four hearts bound to be together for the rest of our days. A Mother, Father, Son and Daughter. Four strong minds and four very strong wills. Four vibrant personalities that bring our house to life with laughter, daily chaos, giggles and yes, at times tears. Four futures that have yet to unfold. Four exciting paths yet to be traveled but will undoubtably lead us back to each other. Four souls that couldn’t live without each other. Our family. Finally complete.
