I can’t seem to come across a pictuue of Grandma and Granddad’s house, but I do have lots of fond memories of spending time there! This picture was taken of me at about 18 months old in their front yard sitting on a chair that Uncle Bruce made! I remember as I got older, Granddad use to pay me to mow the grass and it felt like it took me all day to do it!!! But, spending XMAS there was the BEST! They always had their house decorated with lots of wreaths, decorations and lights everywhere. The town use to do a XMAS house decorating contest and I can remember that they use to get a ribbon pretty much every year! I use to love driving by at night and seeing the whole front of the house lit up! Granddad use to get up on the roof and hang a fresh wreath of some sort EVERY SINGLE year until he couldn’t do it anymore. I know their house is long gone to somebody else. but I will ALWAYS treasure those wonderful XMAS memories and all the other memories I have of that beautiful Crewe, VA home~ Journaling ~12.04.2010
