yeah...so glad to be caught up!
12.18: Ben just asked if we could have grilled cheese for breakfast tomorrow
Of course I said yes and he then wanted to put a note on the fridge! ~ too bad our fridge is not magnetic!
12.19: Today was our 18th anniversary! We cleaned house some, got a king size bed from Raquel and Steve and then Matt went and got a set of blinds from Home Depot to try out in the house and see how it goes. Then we had Mahi Mahi for dinner and it was FABULOUS! Wrapped some more presents and put them under the tree while the kids were in the bathtub! I can’t decide if Abby or Ben is more excited for Xmas to get here! So I think we are gonna give our bed to Ben and then just get him a desk for his computer~
12.20: Did a little more shopping and got a few more things and a bit more wrapping paper! We also got something from Grand Karen for Sam and Peyton in the mail and they are already wrapped and under the tree! Also got a great Miller XMAS box from Grandma and Grandpa Miller…filled full of Russian Spice Tea, Spinach Dip mix, Beer Bread mix, Peppermint and Dark Chocolate bark {for dad}, Lindor Truffles {for mom}, some cute hand oven mits grandma got in Hawaii and a tin filled with filberts! Matt went back to home depot to get another set of blinds and couldn’t find anybody to help and then couldn’t find the right bulb to replace the one that blew out in the kitchen!
12.21: Mom had a white elephant XMAS at work and got a kewl Chili pot thing for XMAS! Dad had a potluck at work and brought Sam home a plate of pancit!!! Mom also spent some time grocery shopping at the commissary and managed to spend $429.00!!! OUCH!!! Oh well, we gotta eat, right! Ten we checked the mail and got our XMAS PJ’s from Grandma Lee {even though they are wrapped and under the tree for XMAS Eve}. Mom also picked up the XMAS classics on Blu Ray and right now Abby and Ben are the only 2 interested in watching! But I guess 2 out of 4 ain’t bad! Also I found Ben’s Colts curtains this morning {they have been missing since Thanksgiving} and I was TOTALLY STOKED that I yelled and said “I FOUND THEM” and almost gave Matt a heart attack at 6 am!!!But SERIOUSLY, I think my XMAS may have been ruined if I hadn’t fond those curtains!
12.22: Pretty much finished up my job with the Navy today. I just have to do some check out processes the next couple of days and then I am done
I think I may have a few job prospects on the horizon, going to finish up my resume tomorrow so we will see
I also had my traditional XMAS lunch with Judy, Jaci and Connie…it was wonderful as usual
Then got a few more packages in the mail to wrap from Grandma Karen! We also got Apollo today keep over the holidays…the kids were pretty excited to see him when we got home~
12.23: FABULOUS Day…took Ben to the doc, nothing medically wrong so it is just a behavior thing with him~Got the rest of my resume done for 2 different jobs and hoping one of them pans out soon…looks promising
Ben hung out with dad and helped him at work and had a blast! Then we went and had a late lunch at McDonald’s. Ben and I left to stop by the commissary and then pick Abby and Peyton up…got to the check out and left my ID at work!! UGGHHHH…so couldn’t get the stuff in my cart and just had to leave! MUST GET BATTERIES before tomorrow or Santa will be very upset! Raquel gave Matt a ride out to the gate and then I picked him up….luckily he got off an hour early! Then we came home and built the gingerbread house! Peyton just wanted to watch TV but he came over for a few to try to "steal" some candy instead of decorate!!! Also Ben got to decorate the tree, Sam did the gingerbread man/girl and Abby did most of the house...turned out so cute...mom learned that she used WAYYY TOOOO MUCH icing to start with and ran out...lesson learned for next year...it was fun!
