01.08: So it was a crazy day at the Portland Miller’s! It was so much fun to see all the kids open their presents~and we ate more food than you can imagine! Hayden tried on every piece of clothing she opened….sooo cute….and everybody was sooo thankful for everything they got, it was GREAT!Abby and Peyton did not get a nap and BOY did they need it…they did go to bed with a fight, but were out in no time! And checking out the weather, looks like we are suppose to get snow Wed-Friday in Mount Vernon next week! Guess we will see!
01.09: We woke up this morning to find out that Mount Vernon was getting covered in snow! Luckily throughout the day the roads were clear. Well, we went and exchanged Matt’s shirt, Abby and Ben’s jackets and I found a few other things at Freddie’s with Marylee. Sam went with Karen to exchange her sweatshirt at the mall and then we headed home around 415pm. We made it about an hour out of Oregon and it started snowing! Luckily it only lasted about 10 miles and turned in to rain. We made good time and made it home by 915 pm. Our street and the whole neighborhood was blanketed in snow!
01.10: Ben’s school was 2 hours late and since I couldn’t get out the driveway in the Camaro, I rescheduled Sam and Ben’s dentist appts. Then when Ben did go to catch the bus it had already gone by so he just spent the day with me. I feel like I am coming down with a cold. Matt got home and we left shortly after to go to Sam’s award presentation. She got her award at the Oak Harbor School district meeting. Abby went with us.Then we headed to Wal-Mart to do some grocery shopping and so Abby could spend her $20 from Grandma Karen and her $20 Wal-Mart card from Nana! Abby decided on the movie Flushed away and got a Ladybug pillow pet
Wanted to make sure we had groceries in case we get snowed in for a couple of days! Sam and I are gonna stay up and watch the movie Inception.
01.11: I still feel crappy, so I went back to bed after Ben went to school. Then I ended up cleaning and organizing Ben and Peyton’s rooms. Made cupcakes for Abby’s birthday {I know it’s late, better late than never}…then took Sam and Ben to Fred Meyer. Ben got a game with some of his XMAS money and we exchanged his shoes and had to end up getting a size 3! Sam found a little dress shirt and then we headed home before the snow started. The snow started around 830 pm and as of 1126 pm it is still coming down.The are saying it is going to turn to rain, but we will see.
01.12: All the snow is gone and the rain is here to stay! It was pretty while it lasted. Ben got in trouble again at school today so he has lost his computer and gaming priveleges for the rest of the week. I took the XMAS tree down today, even though I really liked the ambient light. I also managed to apply for 4 jobs online today, so we will see what comes of them! The kids are going to bed early since they refuse to eat their dinner and Ben is reading since he has nothing else to do!
01.13: Ben got in trouble again today…nothing else really to talk about! Matt did take the day off because he was sick so the rest of us were home all day!
01.14: I had to go to Ben’s school today because he had to sign a behavior contract. It did NOT go well. Then I headed to Seattle for a dr’s appt for a general physical for the VA. I stopped at Alderwood Mall and exchanged Peyton’s crocs from last year! I also picked up a pair for Abby with a scoop of Croc decorations for an extra $5. Sam went with Dacotah after school today for her to get her 2nd tattoo. Was a long day!
01.15: Took 2 big boxes of clothes to Goodwill today! Stopped and cleaned the van. Then we went to Home Depot and got some storage containers and found a cute little Princess light cover for Abby’s room. I also got a new shoe/storage bench for the entryway!
