Journaling: It’s too easy getting caught up in sadness because you aren’t with me now--now that I am a wife, and now that Mark & I are moving forward to another stage in our relationship. But I want to say how grateful I am that you are my mother. That I learned how to properly stock a fridge from you. That the scarce moments you taught me to cook still has bearing on me today. That I learned how to clean a bathroom because of you. That when I find myself being too caught up in my need for control, I remember that even you let Daddy be who he wanted. That even in the midst of challenges, I look forward still. Thank you for that. I love you.
