When you were born I was your mother...the person who was responsible for keeping you safe and happy. As you got older it was my job to guide you when you lost your way or were following in someone's foot steps who was leading you astray. I was there to hold you when your heart got broken and didn't get the spot on the team. were unsure of your future and what you wanted to do with your life. I saw you grow from the day you were born and blossom into a beautiful young lady. You tested my patience more
then I think you even know! There were those nights I stayed up worried because I was not sure what I'd said or done was the right thing.
But the day eventually came when you were done with high school. All the hard work you had done paid off and those nights I had spent worried
about whether you would make it were over. You made a decision to move out despite my objections. You had decided that Alen and you would live together as a couple. Before we knew it you had moved into your own apartment. So now we had to navigate our new relationship and figure out what we'd be at that point. We are still mother & daughter but I was able to start to get to know you as a person outside of "my
daughter". I know I always told you I am your mother I'm not your friend but I do not think it is the case anymore. A friend-ship has bloomed and I am happy about that.
