Madison is addicted to the Cake Boss show on TV and just loves all the designs they come up with. She had decided that Thanksgiving would be a great time to make her own cake. We went off to Michael’s to buy all the icing, frosting and colours she needed. Madison and Nev started off by cooking their own cake but this was a bit of a disaster as it came out like a frisbee. Nev bought a cake from Safeway, scraped their frosting off the top and left Madison with a clear start. She did a great job on the icing and then cut out the shape of a turkey and painted it with food colouring. The last touch was the blue piping and she managed all the decoration and wording on her own. It was a real success. The effect was spoiled a bit the next morning when we realised we should have refridgerated it as all her hard work had slid off the top of the cake.
