My very first bike was purple. That’s been my favorite color for as long
as I can remember. I got that bike on my 6th birthday. It was stolen not too
long after that. I was devastated. And to top it off, no bike ever compared to
that beloved, purple bike. It didn’t help that every bike my parents got after
that were pink. Fast forward to 2012. My husband decided that our 10 year
anniversary was a good time to get a me a bike. Not the most romantic
present (don’t worry, I got my beautiful wedding ring a couple weeks later)
but I loved my bike all the same. And the best part? It was purple! It only took
25 years to finally replace my favorite bike, but better late than never!
