my attempt at the golden means rule
there is a story behind this ....
I have a pair of these beautiful vases, given to me on my wedding day from my grandparents. These were brought back from Japan when my grandfather was stationed there during the war, for my grandmother. My grandfather passed away about 5 months after my wedding, and my grandmother has since been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My poor father thought these had been given away by my uncle, when they moved my grandmother into an assisted-living facility, as my uncle didn't ask anyone if they wanted anything (which broke mine and my siblings hearts) and started selling and giving things away. He was in tears of joy when I told him that I have had them for almost 7 years! They are my most treasured possessions!! I don't have much else to remember my grandparents, other than memories and photographs, so these will always hold a place in my heart.
