Journaling is a letter to my daughter about living life to the fullest.
To My Sweet Little Girl,
if I could, I would protect you from every little thing that could go wrong in your life. But I can’t do that. What I can do is give you advice to guide you on your journey. Don’t ever be afraid to shine my love. I spent many a day in the background, trying to blend in. Afraid to come out and let people see the real me. Trust me, that is no way to live your life. You are special, you have a light inside that burns bright and I never want that to go away. Don’t be afraid of the real you. Embrace who you are; love who you are. Loving yourself maybe the hardest thing you will ever do, but if you can’t love yourself, how can someone else? Don’t be afraid to fall. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to get back to the top. Sometimes if may feel like you’ve spent more time at rock bottom than climbing to the top, but just keep climbing. You deserve everything you want and more and don’t let anyone ever tell you different. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know what that is until you hit 30, don’t ever stop reaching for your dreams. There is no finish line when it comes to dreams.
