Journaling Reads:In the beginning . . . after I was born, my parents brought me home to an old stone
house in East Troy, WI. We lived there until
I was three years old. I have memories of the
house being huge, but have gone back to visit it to
find it wasn’t really. We had a big backyard
where I can remember playing with my sister.
East Troy was a small town and my mom used to
let my sister, who was just 3 years older than
me, and I walk by ourselves to John’s Ice Cream
Parlor to buy candy. We especially liked those
dots on paper strips. In 1979 we said goodbye
to this house and town and moved to western WI.
