JOURNALING:
Almost 30. Almost at my goal weight. Almost happy 100% of the time. My acne scars have almost faded. Almost myself again. Almost spring. Almost exercising again. Almost baseball season. Almost my anniversary. Almost sleeping through the night.
There are a lot of “almosts” in my life right now. I keep looking forward and forgetting the moment that I am in NOW. My mind is always racing one step ahead of my body. Thinking. Anticipating. Reacting too soon. Thinking too much.
I need to stop.
Breathe.
Think.
Live in the now.
Be concerned with what is going on around me right now so I don’t miss a single moment of life. A single moment of my girls’ lives.
It sounds easy, but I am a planner. I worry.
Can I live in the now?
Yes, but it will take lots of effort to break free of the thinking and the worry and the way that I just am.
