Our cat's name is Steve French, which makes a lot of people look at us like we're insane, but that is really and truly his name, and that's all that he'll answer to (well, that and Goddamn Kitty, but that's a story for another time). People who think the name is weird (i.e. most people) try to call him Steve, Stevie, Frenchie, etc. but he'll have none of it, and just looks right through them like they're not even there.
