That this disease, that kills teen athletes and unsuspecting mothers, will get the best of me, and my life will end. I won’t kiss my children goodnight, or take them to Girl Scouts, let alone see them graduate or marry. That they will not know that they are the best and most important things that have ever happened to me. That all the little things that I take for granted or complain about that make up our every day will be finished. And I’m not ready. We say goodbye like every time is the last for a reason.
