I carry the baby monitor around the house with me
like it's my lifeline :: I'm constantly searching for binkies, only to find one - no, TWO - in my purse or pocket :: I say "hurry, get the camera" at least 3 times per day :: I see a mother with a newborn and
automatically wonder what her birth experience was like :: I can take a shower, wash my hair, and shave my legs in 10 minutes flat :: I can effectively give "the LOOK" :: I can get ready to leave in the mornings with a baby hanging onto my leg :: I know the meaningsof at least dozen different cries, screams and wales :: my bathtub is full of rubber duckies, boats, and foam letters :: I automatically turn to answer anyone who yells "mom" :: I am constantly looking for a baby shoe :: due to all of the toys, books, and puzzles, I have learned to walk through our house in the dark like it's a land mine :: I now know that it's possible to watch a precious, sleeping baby for hours :: I have learned a love like no other.
