There once was an adorable dog named Mountie who wandered off from home and found himself in a cabin resort. He came upon two friendly people who were concerned about him and wanted to call his owner so she could get him back safely. They called her, but unfortunately she just told them to let him go and he would find his way home. Concerned about bad cars and other dangers, the couple insisted she pick him up and they would take good care of him until then. While they all waited, one of the people gave him water, chips and wiped down his fur from a dirty smelly mess he had gotten himself into earlier. And then she played rope with him. Then they got a call from a friend of his owner who worked at the resort, asking if they were holding a dog hostage. The couple were very upset as they were only concerned with his welfare. One of them took him down to the resort office and gave him back to his owner, but she didn’t thank them and was relatively rude. But at least Mountie went home safe….
