Journaling:
Since Alaskan summers are so short, everyone goes crazy
trying to fit in all their outside activities before it
gets cold and dark again. Because there are so many mountains
here, hiking is very popular. Flat Top is in Chugach State
Park just east of Anchorage. We borrowed a backpack and
set out expecting a nice day hike. Well...hiking up
mountains, is just that, mountainous... It was very
challenging. The view of Anchorage and Cook Inlet were
worth it though!
