You never need to apologize for not responding or being busy away from the computer. I've been busy too - I understand!
I'm sorry to hear there is such a wait for your mom's surgery, it's hard to wait when you know something is ahead of you. Try to rest with what the doctor said, truly if they thought it would affect her prognosis they would rush the surgery. So it's a good sign they are not rushing her off urgently. Also if hormone therapy is possible then that's good too! Usually those type of tumors are more manageable than triple negative tumors. Every type of breast cancer is different and every person's tumor responds differently, so try not to listen to people especially people with scary stories. There have been great advances in oncology lately too, so if their treatment was even a few years ago, it's outdated news! They will test your mom's tumor to see what will treat it. If they do have to remove all the breast and reconstruct, then know that they do have very good techniques now too - even with taking fat from other parts of your body to soften around the implant. Or doing 3D tattooing to reconstruct a nipple if the cancer were affecting that structure and it were needing to be removed. Try to meditate and envision healing and completeness to calm yourselves. (((hugs))) Sometimes complete removal and reconstruction is cosmetically better than partial, so trust the doctor's judgement too.
Disneyland will be a welcome break for the kids - and YOU! That was sure nice of your grandma! Such a fun vacation and photo opportunity. A chance to just get away from reality and be in the fairy tales. I so glad the hypnotherapy has helped N - a wonderful resource without side effects! Maybe they can use it for other things too?
Your mojo will return when your stress level settles - you can always try scrap therapy?
