JOURNALING: Picture a family reunion where a neighbor's dog devours all of the food, it's a sweltering day with a tornado on the way, and your cousin just "bet the farm" that her Red Velvet Cake is the best in the state - only she's never made a Red Velvet Cake! It's a typical Verdeen Family reunion with things getting crazier and crazier. This play was a lot of fun. The Verdeen cousins were played by Becca Blacksten as Gaynelle Verdeen Bodeen, Carly Shepherd as Jimmie Wyvette Verdeen, and Laura Miller as Peaches Verdeen Belrose. Of course we HAD to enjoy some Red Velvet Cake from "Nothing Bundt Cakes" after the show. 7/15/24
