This is such a cute little photo of you but I will never be able to look at it without remembering the circumstances under which it was taken. Grief changes everything. It is omnipresent for those it affects. I am sad when I see this photo of you but not nearly as sad as Aunt Thatha is. What should be just a sweet grin is forever etched in our minds as something more. This grief isn't mine, but it's the only grief I've known. For that I should consider myself lucky. Instead it just makes me feel sad that I couldn't take the pain away for someone else. Grief changes everything.
