March 11 Journaling Challenge

Journaling reads: Spunky, even though we got you ten Christmases ago, I will never forget how and when you were named. You were a Christmas gift to me and my sisters, but we were visiting family on the east cost during the holidays that year, so we were told we would pick you up when we got home. On the twelve hour car drive back to Chicago, we encountered a blizzard and our car's heater stopped working. Since we were only a few hours from home when the heat went out and we wouldn't be able to get the car fixed where we were for the next few days, we decided to tough it out and head home. In between rest stops, where we would warm our boots with hand dryers, we tossed around name ideas to pass the time and keep our minds off the cold. We wanted a unique, cool name for you so I tossed out all sorts of silly name. When I suggested Spunky, I was only being half serious but the name stuck and it fits you to a tee. You were the spunkiest funniest little puppy I had ever seen and ten and a half years later, you're not much different. Sure, you are a little bit more slow moving but you're my spunky little buddy and I love you so much!
