My name is Monique

but you can call me Fred. (Portfolio challenge #32d)

"My name is Monique,
but no one can ever seem to
remember it. People will call
me Michelle, or Nicole... but
never Monique.

So one day when working at a
used bookstore, I told my
co-workers to simply pick a
name that they could all
remember, and that's what I
would go by. They picked Fred.

It's funny, but I like it.
Everyone there knew me as
Fred, co-workers, customers,
even my mom liked it and has
bought me several novelty items
with the name Fred on it.

So my name is Monique, but
you can call me Fred."
