For this month's Portfolio challenge, to write a letter to past, present and future you. I had fun with this one! Journaling reads:
This is a totally different tone than the letters to past and present me. To future me I would like to say I hope that you have kept the most important things in focus over the years. I hope you haven’t lost track of what it is you truly treasure. I hope Dave is working someplace that challenge’s him and makes him happy, yet lets him come home earlier than he has been. I hope he doesn’t work for a company that has him traveling. I hope you remember that you married him because you want to spend time with him, not so he could travel, work long hours and make money. I hope you remember that you would rather have him than the money anyway. I hope that you still value your happiness and the happiness of your children and you don’t get sucked into taking them 20 different places a week or the pressure of good grades. That you let them be kids, and you plan free time instead of filling up every bit of time with something. I hope you have dinner together every night, and make it a point to keep it that way. I hope you take time for you, to do things to make you feel better about yourself. And I hope you are always there to take the kids to school and pick them up, that’s what they really want and what really matters.
