For Challenge #30, Take a photo of yourself as is - no makeup, straight out of bed or just how you look lounging around the house. Scrap it!

So when I first decided to do this challenge I’ll admit, I wanted to stage the photo. I wanted to make sure I had showered and actually run a comb through my hair. I wanted to make sure my teeth were brush and I had on “nice clothes” (read: a shirt with no bleach stains or food on it). But then I had an attack of conscience, I had to play by the rules, so I started to look through some of the more recent photos taken of me. I came across this one (taken by my sweetheart of a husband) and decided it probably showed the “everyday me” the best: way to high forehead, unwashed tangly hair full of way to many gray strands, bushy ungroomed eye brows, unbrushed teeth, the beginnings of crow’s feet at the corners of my eyes and a big giant smile…..hey wait a minute….BIG. GIANT. SMILE. Yes, I may spend each and every day looking like a bum (and sometimes even smelling like one too), with all my faults in plain sight but ….I’m happy…..I love me and I love my life!!! I wouldn’t trade my life right now for all the free tweezers, soap or hair color in the world!!!
