journaling reads
January 12, 2012 - Robert remembered the geese. What geese? The geese that used to come up to our house when we lived in Ohio. Well, they were actually ducks, but the point is that he remembered them. He was only five when we left Ohio (and only 2 when these photos were taken) I’m impressed by his memory.
Robert and I were in the kitchen this morning getting ready for the day and he finished all but the heel of a loaf of bread. I said something about wishing there was something we could do with the ends because I don't like just throwing them away. He said we can't feed them to the birds because all we'd be doing is feeding our cat! Then he said he missed the geese coming up to our house like they did in Ohio. I guess the bread must have triggered the memory of sitting on our front step feeding bread to the ducks.

What a sweet story, and beautiful lo
(we're from Ohio, and there's a park I love to take the girls to and feed all the ducks - they have a blast!)
