Journaling Reads: Today was an ordinary day, but I thought it would be fun to record some of the things we do on an ordinary day. Your Dad left for work very early. You and I got up about 6:30 to get you ready for school. You stumble into the living room, I put on a show for you, lately that’s been Lego Ninjago or Mike the Knight, and I fix you breakfast, and normally your school lunch at the same time. Breakfast is normally a piece of cinnamon toast, and lunch is cheese toast with pepperoni, the pepperoni is a new addition. We leave the house at 7:35 or so to take you to school. I drop you off with a hug and kiss and I usually head to the YMCA for a workout. I run errands, clean house, and sometimes even manage to get some scrapbooking done while you are at school. I go to pick you up at about 2:35. You mentioned that in school you drew a picture like Pablo, which I gathered was Pablo Picasso after your description. You said that you drew a person with a triangle head and 24 mustaches. We came home and you played with your legos for awhile. Your Dad got home and we had an errand to do before your first ever t-ball practice so we did that, then got you a new Mario game for your Nintendo DS before we went to dinner at Fuzzy’s. After that we headed to Chapman Park for your t-ball practice. Your Dad is helping coach, and y’all practiced hitting, fielding, and finding the bases, despite the fact that the fields were very muddy. We headed home and you had a bit of homework. Tonight you had to write your first and last name 5 times. We got ready for bed, and I took you on your nightly “piggy bank ride” to your room. You did your reading for school, I read you a few books, and then it was bed time. The next morning you woke up at 5:30 am because your Dad mentioned that there would be a new Lego Ninjago show to watch when you got up! I wasn’t very happy with either of you, but I do love you both.
