Everyone always says how much motherhood changes a person. Sometimes it’s for the better and sometimes for the worse. But until it happens, you have no idea just how drastically it changes you. I always knew that I was put on this Earth to be a mom. I wasn’t born to be a lawyer, or a teacher, or a doctor, or a singer…even though eventually my life calling would include all of those things. God put me on this Earth to be all those things and more, but all together as one.
Becoming a mother has been one of the most challenging and inspiring changes I’ve ever endured. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Each day is a new challenge and a new lesson. But with each challenge and lesson, I strive to become that much better. Being a mother, came as natural as riding a bike for me. The second I held my daughter in my arms, it all just clicked. Yea, I had experience with babies before her, but nothing prepares you for having your own. This is a 24 hr/7 day a week job. You don’t get sick days, you don’t get days off, you don’t get paid, you don’t benefits. But what you do get is something far more rewarding in return.
