I didn’t spend all my time working while I was deployed. I got to take advantage of being in the desert to do some things that I had never done before - like ride a camel! It was pretty much like riding a pony at the fair; I sat on it and someone walked the camel in a circle. Still, it was fun! I learned that camels are tall and smelly and walk with a very awkward gait.
