Journaling Reads:
Trail riding is one of my favorite things to do in Colorado. We loaded the 4 wheelers up and took them up to this trail. I?m pretty familiar with the weather changes in this area, so we packed extra clothes along with our picnic. After riding quite a while, we came to a creek and lost the trail. We finally realized that we had to cross the creek to pick the trail back up. We did-with a bit of trepidation, and carried on. We rode up for quite a while until we came to a steep, rocky area that I did not want to go up. My 4 wheeler was not running right and I didn?t want to risk it. We turned them around and started back down. At that point it started raining, so we found some trees to get under and then it started hailing! We put on our extra jackets and broke out the umbrella and picnicked during the hail storm. I put on John?s waterproof pants, and yes they were a bit big, so I would stay a bit drier. The views on this ride were absolutely breathtaking. I love going on rides like this and seeing things that so many will never see. I love being in the woods and taking the road less traveled.
