Journaling:
This is 35. It's the freedom to wake up at 10AM on a Monday because I freelance and work on a per-project basis. It's also working on holidays, Sundays, and until 3AM.
This is 35. It's finally sitting in the experience of doing whatever I want--such as eating alone in a public restaurant--without the fear of what people will think.
This is 35. It's being sad I don't have any more grandparents.
This is 35. It's going to more weddings and funerals and christenings. And then second christenings.
This is 35. It's realizing that perfection was killing me. Choosing to be vulnerable about what I can't do is incredibly scary, and incredibly freeing.
This is 35. It's accepting that I can always be in a position to learn something, no matter how small.
This is 35. It's accepting that there will always be a part of my heart that will ache for my Momma.
This is 35. It's doing nothing all day and being 100% cool with it.
This is 35. It's wishing and hoping and praying for another one to love with all my heart.
This is 35. It's happily knowing that no matter how old I am, I will always hold my Daddy's hand when we cross the street.
