Pocket, flowers, and plaid paper from
Baylee by Robin Carlton
Inside pages are from
Dear Diary Mini Accordion Album by Robin, Melissa, and Manda
***Directions***
-Open letter-size canvas (I like letter size because it makes a visual scale for me since I'll print this on my home printer on letter size paper)
-Add the denim pocket from the Baylee kit. Duplicate and flip vertically. Duplicate the flipped version. You now have one original and two flipped.
-Slide one duplicate below the pocket so that the two bottoms are touching (fold line)
-Slide the other duplicate above the original matching up tops (fold line). You can erase the rest of this layer except for the "flap" of the pocket
-Clip your favorite coordinating patterned paper to the original pocket, creating the back of your book
-Decorate the front of the pocket if you want
-Print (I actually like regular acid-free cardstock for the pocket, rather than photo paper), cut, and fold. I used a Velcro dot to close my flap.
-Pick out your favorite mini accordion style album (or create your own). You might have to shrink it slightly to fit inside the pocket. I did mine at 2.75" so that I could stack a column of 4 pages on a letter size paper. I made two columns (8 pages), but you can make a few more without making the book too bulky.
-Print your mini pages onto photo paper, and fold, keeping in mind that you will need to glue one end to the inside back flap and another end to the inside front flap. You will also need to connect the strips (I glued two pages back to back and kept folding).
-Be sure to let your photos dry completely before closing up your book. I like to let mine dry overnight in front of my fan. Humid areas will need longer for the ink to set than arid areas.
