Love this one too! I don't know how you manage to do such bright photoless layout! Love the white space and the little details with the journal card and your journaling! Such a great layout again Sarah!

Hi sweetie,
Sorry for not responding earlier. I was still home from work for vacation and I didn't have a lot of time to spend on my computer.
Oh, what a good idea to just go to the Aquamundo! I didn't even realise their was a Center Parcs in France! Maybe I can check it out for a next vacation.
Well, my vacation didn't go as planned. We had some bad luck. I got bitten by a bug and had a allergic reaction. I couldn't walk for 2 days. That same day, my mother in law fell while she was playing tennis with her granddaughter. She broke two of her fingers. Now it turns out even worse than we first thought. She has to have surgery on 22nd of July if she ever wants to use her pink again.
And when we god home, we found out my dad was in hospital. He gets surgery on the 29h of July.

How was your 14 Juillet? Did you do anything special?
Are you following the Tour de France?

Hi my friend,
Thank a lot for your lovely message. I guess you were on holidays (and hope so of course) as I don't see you anymore.
We are on holidays too but tomorrow we go in Spain (south of basque country) so I'll don't have my pc but I'll have my phone when it's ok to work lol.
Yeah there is some Center Parcs in France, there is 5 2 are not far from my home but the Hauts de Bruyere is the closest. To be honnest we never go so we absolutely don't know how Aquamundo was but it's a great discover and I love how the parcs works. If you came to France next year, tell me, I'd love we can meet!
I'm really sorry for your vacation, what a bad luck!
What kind of insect bit you like this? Poor you, it's just no luck and the same for your mother in law. I hope she 'll get better after the surgery but she must be very hurt!
And what about your dad? How he is? Is he still in hospital? I really think of you my friend and of your family, you are all in my thought and my prayers, hope everybody get better fast and that next month will be better for all of you my friend!
For 14 juillet we were on the road but we saw the defile on TV (love watching it, it reminds me when I can see the planes by my windows in Paris) and the night my grand mother and my kiddos went to firework at my grandparent's city for the 1st time. It was great with the festivities and people dancing after.
I don't follow the Tour de France, when I was little my grand father follow it like a big event and I watched sometime with him but since some years, he doesn't follow it anymore. Do you follow it?
We love to heard about our belgium friends!
Sweetie, hope all get better, please give me some news if you can!

Hello my sweet friend!

Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy Spain, enjoy your vacation. And take lots of photos. Can't wait to see your scrap pages.

My dad is ok for now. He is out of the hospital but he has to go back for surgery on the 29th of July. He has to stay 5 nights including 1 night in intensive care. He couldn't pee anymore.

I got bitten by a corne de cheval. Do you know that word? In Dutch it's daas or dazerik, but there was no translation. So I searched for another word and translated that to French.
But I'm ok now, you can't see the bite anymore. The red on my leg has dissapeared and my leg doesn't feel hot any more.

Your 14 juillet sounds like a lot of fun. I love watching defile's like that as well. Especially all the planes flying over and fireworks.

No, I don't follow the Tour de France eighter, but I love to hear about it in the news. It's such a huge event. And I love seeing all those French landscapes when they are filming out of a helicopter.

Oh yes, I would love to meet you too sometime. I'll let you know if or when I'm coming back to France!

Well, sweetie... enjoy your vacation. Enjoy the time with your family. Take care and talk to you soon.

Hello my sweet friend,
I'm really sorry for taking so long to answer you. As you say, life goes on and I have been busy with the kids and the holidays and preparing for the new school year.
I'm finally coming back to your July message that I wanted to answer for a long time.
I'm glad your leg is better, the insect you're talking about is called a taon in French and it's just a beast I hate ... I'm phobic of all these insects so I'm really sorry you were bite and I'm sure you must have hurt a lot.
I'm sorry for your mother-in-law too, and I'm glad to know that things are going well, just like your dad. The poor, he must have suffered too!

I hope you can enjoy your few days in Netherland and have fun and relax.
Did you enjoy of the Belgian national holiday? Do you celebrate this in a particular way?
I too love parades and planes, it reminds me when I was little. Lol.
I would be really happy to meet you, do not hesitate if one day you come to France!
And if one day I go to Belgium I will tell you too.
Back to school is September 2nd here. They ended around the 5th of July. But they are getting bored now.
We will try to return to the Aqua Mundo because it is very hot weather again.

O is better and his skin heals, he can walk normally and I hope it's okay.
He is going to meet an ergotherapist in September to give us a diagnosis and to help him for the school especially. He has difficulties for graphism, it could be dyspraxia, it is a problem of learning movements and coordination of what I understood lol. It worries me for his future. And at school, as you know, they changed schools in February after O's bullying. All was well, the teacher had to stay the same and knew how to organize with him. At the end of June we received an email to inform us that the director was leaving, the teacher was leaving, another too and maybe the people who help the teacher (I do not know how they are called in English). In the end, they will have a new director who will be there only 1 day a week, an assistant who will be there all the time but who will teach and a new teacher but we can not yet confirm which. It's not easy because it's the unknown for me.
I hate going back to school.

And in Belgium how is this going? I think the children have already started school?
After N had an abscess under a molar that grows but there is no dentist here so it is the doctor who was able to treat her but she must see a dentist.
They had a check up for 6 years and a vaccine and O grew so much that we had to buy bigger clothes. And it was not too budget for lol.
AND finally I wanted to clean O's ear with care and he started to bleed in, I was very scared but fortunately it was nothing serious.
That stupid things that take me too much time! lol

Thank you so much for all your comments. This is insane!
But I'm happy to hear from you my friend.
I'm going to try to answer in one post...

Don't feel sorry! Summer is chaotic for all of us, especially with kids.
Oh your kids go back to school the same day as Malouke (my boyfriends daughter goes back to school). She's with her mom now, but she will be with us on Friday. So she'll be with my boyfriend the first day of school.
In Belgium, school ends on June 30 and starts at September 1st. It's the same dates every year.

I'm so sorry to read what your kids go through at school. I understand what you are saying about the school and the director and the teachers. That sucks! Big time! School is hard on everyone, but especially on kids with extra needs. I hope you get some answers soon!

We didn't do anything special on the National holiday. It's celebrated a lot in Brussels, but it's way too crowded to go there. So we watched a bit on television and on the news. But nothing big.

I would love to meet you as well. My boyfriend is talking about going caming in the Jura next year with me, his daughter, his mom and his brother. Maybe we can take an extra stop in the Loire Valley. Who knows! It's just an idea for now. But it's an option. We've been going to the Netherlands the last couple of times and I think it's time for something different. :-)

Sweetie... How are YOU doing? Can you keep it together? I guess it IS A LOT what is going on right now with O's school and N's abscess. You are a strong woman, but please, take care of yourself as well!
