THE STORY OF TODAY
Long story short, our recent trip to QLD was the trip from hell. Mum ended up in hospital the day after we got there, and at one stage it was looking quite serious with the prospect of brain surgery on the cards.
My cousin flew up and got Ethan, and flew straight back home with him, so that he didn't miss any school, and I could spend all of my time at the hospital with mum. I facetimed him every night for bed time story, and my 2 cousins and SIL tried to keep everything as normal as possible for him.
These photos were taken by one of my cousins the day after we got home. I hadn't told him we were coming home, as I wanted to surprise him. He spotted me from across the quad and ran towards me with his arms outstretched, yelling "Carolyn! Carolyn! Carolyn!"
The wordstrip was so perfect, because a couple of months after moving in with us he said to me, "Carolyn, you're my happy". This boy just melts my heart over and over again!
