Created for April 2020 Passport #14 Currently Reflecting On
I do not say it in words, I say it in images. I am reflecting on change. I am reflecting on how I am about to complete a Masters in Molecular Diagnostics. I am reflecting on how Don and I are supposed to move to Georgia (the country) but due to COVID-19 there is a stop movement order. We are in limbo. I am reflecting on how I hope COVID-19 can help us grow as a world community and use technologies to our advantage that can make Mother Earth more healthy. It is time for me to Grow. It us time for the world community to Grow.
The little character comes from Lorie Davison. I used the character with the glasses and wearing pants, as that is the best reflection of me. The owl, also from Lorie, is a symbol of wisdom. I have learned a lot over the past two years in my program. But, it is time for me to apply what I learned (that is growth). The background paper also comes from Ms. Davison.

Time to Bloom. I love the botanical steam punk vibe. That so on track with my thoughts about Mother Earth right now. Steam punk has a magical, mystical yet mechanical vibe. It makes use of things from the past but in new futuristic ways.
My layout is dark, but with elements of light. The pocket watch from Wendy is the perfect addition to the character. I made the clock glow (time to grow). I also added the little light bulbs from Wendy to the vine with additional dodging to make that area brighter. This represents the direction of hope.
