16. Pop Culture : It Was a Dark and Stormy Night...
I Will Rise Up by Kristin Cronin-Barrow
Set 253: Cultivating Gratitude by Cindy Schneider (10/30 release)
I can look at this time in and see the dark stormy night that was our daily obstacle to make it through, or I can have gratitude for the fact that we did and you are stronger than ever both mentally and physically. Those months were a blur. Honestly there are times I'm not sure how we did it. The hospital gave up. The doctors struggled to correctly figure out the complex diagnosis and treatment to get you physically better. Rhonda and Dr Hills helped with the mental side. School was not an option. Dad and I were the strength for you when the other was in a moment of weakness and needed a break. We both still went to work and traded who was on duty keeping you safe. Your intelligence made the job harder for sure. Those months were terrifying. I don't think I fully slept for 6 months. I am so grateful now and would do it all again in a heartbeat!
