...that it is, indeed, true. The Root of Joy does lay in gratefulness, which many times can be achieved by trying to find the cloud' silver lining, there is ALWAYS a good side or effect or reason for things to happen. Trust me, I am old LOL It took me a while, but I only got up and re build a life for ourselves when, instead of cursing and being angry with God, with Life, with the illnesses (Multiple Sclerosis first, Dementia later) that took my husband, Sarita's dad, from us, or I could keep in my heart over a decade of marvelous time together, even working together, successfully achieving wonderful things in our lives, and this marvelous daughter of mine. There is a lot more that has taught me about how gratefulness works miracles, but I wont bore you too much now

This layout says so much and has so much meaning. I LOVED reading the journal, I loved the photo even more. The layout and story just warm my heart.

And I agree with you... I believe that everything happens for a reason.
I'm so sorry you lost your husband at such young age though. My grandmother suffers from dementia. I am very closse to my grandmother and it's so hard to see someone you love so much just slip away. Your journal and layout both bring me to tears and warm my heart. All at the same time.
And you scrapped it in such beautiful way. What a treasure to keep.

Outstanding composition! I love how you did the journaling and the clever placement of quote in a curve.
