I don't have that kit so I'm dying to know, did YOU fill some of those shapes in the background paper with the colorful paper bits? I don't see it like that in the kit preview. Either way, it's very eye-catching. And, they had to do what they had to do, right? As long as the cardboard held up. lol Love the layout!

Yes, I love doing that on funky backgrounds like this one. So I use a low tolerance and the magic wand in PS CC and then select some areas. It's easier if you pick an area where the lines are darker on all the sides.

Really neat thing you did there on the background paper! I also love the shape of the journal spot--that looks so cool! Great shadows and clusters here!
