my last darling child, you are not a mistake. Yes, you may have been a surprise. But never think you were not wanted. In fact, you were more wanted than you will ever know. You came at a time when I was about to give up on ever having another child. We had tried for a few months and gave up hope. I had such a hard time getting pregnant. In fact your father was planning to be snipped the day after I found out I was pregnant with you. You were such a pleasant surprise for me. I always dreamed of having a dozen kids. Your brother and sister were truly my pride and joy. Having you enter our lives was the best gift God could have blessed me with. You came at a time when my life was literally turned upside down. You were the ray of sunshine that kept me going. Today you are still that ray of sunshine in my life. I could not imagine the world without my Doodle in it.
