This or that Challenges
5a - Scrap a looking forward page for 2022

A positive thought for the New year!
We are all still at home, it's not a joke, my daughter started to feel bad on Tuesday evening.
Wednesday morning she had a very sore throat and a little fever and her brother was not feeling well. We managed to see the doctor who concluded that it was the Covid and that it was useless to test her but that she could go back to school because it was not serious...
He didn't give her any treatment. I did test at home to my daughter which are all negative but I am skeptical and I am starting to be sick also like the start of a bad cold.
The problem is that if it is not Covid, she can receive appropriate treatment and something for the pain.
We have to wait until tomorrow to have a PCR test and the results on Saturday.
I am truly tired of this situation. In France it's a disaster!
I'm really sorry not answering the lovely message you sent me and I hope I'll have more time to talk to each of you but I want to say a big Thank you for all the lovely comments and messages you leave me, it helps me a lot!

Your page is so festive and happy!! Love the sparklers!! Amazing clustering and color use!

Oh no Emily - I'm sorry to read about the Covid (?) and or illness, but it does sound like Covid. I'm sorry it's frustrating - I'm grateful it was with Omicron that you guys got it so it's less risky for serious illness. I'm shocked they are saying go back to school without any delay.

I'm so so sorry to read you are all stuck at home. I hope N feels better soon though.
It's so scary not knowing if it's covid or not.
I hope the test goes quickly and smoothly and you'll have the results soon.
This whole situation sucks. And it's taking so long. People start to lose hope, get desperate.
I'll be thinking of you and your family. I hope you and O stay healthy. I cross my fingers for all of you!

Hi sweetie! I'm so happy to hear that all the test results came back negative.
But like you said... it is a neverending story.
So sorry to hear both you and N are having and angina. That sucks too! And can make you feel miserable as well.
How did it go at school? I hope there were no new cases and everyone there is healthy.
Stay safe, stay warm... and I am crossing my fingers that you all have a 'normal' week.
Lots of love and hugs.

Oh no, so sorry to read there were another two new cases. And fingers crossed N can stay in school the entire day and week. Hope she doesn't catch the virus.
When does classrooms close in France? In Belgium, there was a rule that classrooms close when there are four or more cases in one class. But the rule isn't there any more. It just wasn't managable for schools and teachers. They had to switch too often from online teaching to classroom teaching. Plus, filling in for fellow teachers. I cannot imagine how exhausting it must be for teachers.
So now classrooms are open, even if there are four cases are more.

We haven't continued with the babies room. His bed is ready and his closet is too. We still have to put together the changing table, a chest of drawers and a toy case. But the most important stuff is ready. We already got a car seat as well.

We had a doctors' appointment yesterday. Everything was fine. He's 42 cm long and weighs 2 kilo 550 gr. His heartbeat was okay. And he is in the right position to be born.

To be honest... I am exhausting. I am working long hours at work. I am trying to safe as many vacation days as possible. So I can spend some extra time with the baby when he's here.
They say they are looking for replacement for me, for when I'm away, but so far.. I haven't heard from it. So I don't know if I have to train someone to do my job or not.

Yeah, Malouke is with her mom. She will be back Friday after school. She got her second vaccine this weekend. I hope she doesn't have side effects.

Lots of love.
And thank you for all your kind and encouraging words.
I hope you find time to play along in this months birthday challenges. But take it easy. Take care of yourself. You are important too! Not only your kids.

So sorry to hear that your daughter and son are sick. I hope it wasn't Covid. So strange that they don't give any treatment if it is covid. Love the photos of the kids with their sparklers. And love the clustering and the colours. Great page!

Hi sweetie!
Thank you so much for your kind messages.
I hope to write back to you soon. We're having a busy weekend.
Malouke is going to stay with Wards' mom for the weekend, so we have to drive her over there in a bit of time.
And our shed is ready to be installed. So we're moving a lot of stuff around this weekend. So I don't think I'll be having a lot of computer time this weekend.
I come back and write to you soon.
Lots of love and hugs!

So glad to hear it's not chest angina!! I'm sorry I didn't understand correctly - translation is good, but not perfect LOL. In US, we call what you're describing tonsillitis - often from "strep throat" when it's bacterial, or when it's viral we also call it "viral pharyngitis" but probably most people say tonsillitis. Poor thing it's no fun! Thank you for all the sweet comments on my pages xoxoxo
