Summer Scrap A Thon
Olympic Closing Ceremony
A ceremonial evening where the municipality offers an encyclopedia and a novel to all future middle school students at the town hall.
It's a beautiful tradition, the children are called one by one and congratulated by the Mayor and the municipal team.
This officially marks the end of primary school and the new life in middle school.
So it's kind of closing ceremony.

I love these elegant colors and the closure of elementary school! What a great tradition! I love your storytelling and clusters and shadows.... just beautiful!! [Also - Your DD's outfit is so chic - just love it!]
I'm sorry it's soooo hot there! All the heat must be there, because it's been mild and cool here this last week which really does not feel like summer at all. Usually it's hot and humid this time of year... really uncomfortable outside! Sometimes those times where your routine changes it creates lasting memories for the kids... I mean who wouldn't remember sleeping in the basement since it's so hot?! We had that when our air conditioner broke.
I've been so busy at work it's been crazy still. However, my last day is Aug 15 Yippie! My daughter has a ceremony receiving her white coat for medical school on the 16th, so we will be away that weekend to visit for that, but then life will settle down more! Phew! I'm ok, just occupied by work.
How are you and the kids? Your mom?
