Worst Mother's Day EVER in 10 years!!!
So I have been a mama for 10 years and even though they all haven't been "Picture Perfect" yesterdays was by far the worst ever and I don't see me ever having a worst one to come!!!
It was going good. I got to sleep in and hubby was taking care of all 4 kids. He made me breakfast and served it to me in bed. When I did get up he let me play and scrap all morning then at 11AM our electricity went out (it was horribly windy all day long) and was out until almost 5PM!!! Our whole city was out and we couldn't even just get in the van and drive around because our garage door is electric and wouldn't open (it's also so old it didn't have an emergency manual open thing and even if it did we probably wouldn't have been able to open it because the dang thing weighs like 400lbs!!). We do have a gas stove so at least we were able to feed the kids a "warm" lunch of toasted cheese and tomato soup (we also only have an electric can opener so use your imagination on how hubby got those cans open  ) but it kind of sucked for me because he was gonna make me a nice lunch.  Then the electricity came on and I was headed down our basement steps (because I was in the middle of doing some laundry when the lights went out) and BAM...I slipped and fell down the steps. I scared my 2 middle kids to death because I was screaming "Go get daddy....go get daddy....! They just sat there stunned for a second and then busted out screaming and crying themselves. My oldest heard me (and them) and went and got DH. He came to me and I was fine till then (in shock more like it) and when he asked me if I was hurt I started hyperventilating and blubbering crying!!! I refused to go to the ER and spend the rest of my Mother's day there but I am going to have to go today because I can't even sit down and when I try too I get nauseous so I think my tail bone is definitely broke. I know there is nothing they will do but I might get some good pain killers out of them!!! So that was my very sucky Mother's Day  I hope everyone else's was so much better then mine!!!

Oh man, that does stink!! I hope your tail bone really isn't broken and you get some pain killers to help! And if you have to sit on an inflated doughnut you better take a pic to scrap it!!

OMG what a horrible day!!!! I fell down the steps and gave my tail bone an awful smack when we were moving a couple of years ago, and it's just not nice at all. Go and see the doctor, there's not a lot they can do, but they can get you some meds. ((hugs))

THat really stinks girl...I hope it feels better soon. I do feel your pain...did the same thing with a 4 month old baby in my arms (thankfully he was not hurt) but I was in pain for a long time!!!!

Oh man! That is terrible!! I am so sorry that things went so horribly wrong for you on Mother's Day of all days! I also hope that your tailbone isn't broken. And I will say this..... bruised tail bones (especially badly bruised ones) hurt as much as if not worse than a broken tail bone. My dad fell on some stairs once and thought for sure he broke it but it was just very badly bruised and the doc said that sometimes bruised tailbones are more painful and take longer to heal that broken ones.

So sorry you had such a crummy Mom's day - at least it wasn't due to the kids being terrible.
Reminds me of my worst birthday ever - 13 years ago - I got into a car accident a couple days before, I was told that over the birthday weekend I had to make a decision to quit or sign a contract for a year in a job I hated, went camping with my then boyfriend and nearly got attacked by moose and got strep throat. I'll tell you it makes you appreciate all the other celebrations that are ho-hum! Hope you feel better!

Sorry to hear how that day turned out.
Thank God your okay (and hopefully there are not broken bones)! I don't know how your steps are, but the steps to my basement (where I go to do laundry) are horrid and I am so scared of falling down those steps cause I don't know how anyone could survive that fall.Make the pain meds your friend and get lots of rest. I hope you feel better soon!
