Default does anyone know how

to recover photos off a memory card??? I am seriously ready to cry. My lens is broken on my DSLR, so I took my P&S with us on holidays. ALL the photos I had taken all week are gone! My children asked if they could take a couple of photos, so I handed it over, they are usually really good with my camera. Well, I went to pull them all off the memory card today ... and there are only EIGHT photos on it! All the ones from camping, from my brother's wedding ceremony ... GONE!! I have TWO from his actual wedding day on there ... but they are of just my brother, myself and our two sisters. That's it.
Needless to say, my children are toast right now.

Don't do anything with it. I know there are ways, and I believe someone here had that same problem too. Let me dig around and see what I can find!

You can download a program for free online and have it check the card to see if it can find them. If the photos can be recovered then you pay for the program. Im not sure of the names of the programs though but you should be able to find it by doing a google search

I don't know, good luck though. I know I would be sick to my stomach. This happened to my aunt, they were from their anniversary, so only 1 day, but still ones she didn't want to lose. You'll have to keep us posted to see if you can get them back.

We used http://www.cardrecovery.com/ last August to recover the photos from my parents Alaskan vacation and a family reunion after their CF card somehow corrupted during download. It recovered all the photos they had taken from the trip, even the ones that had already been downloaded to the computer and then cleared from the card and more photos taken over them. It is free to try and then appr. $30 to buy the software if it can recover your files.
