It's hard for me to say, I've loved everything I've read of hers.

I just finished reading Handle with Care and I did not like it at all- I was seriously irritated at the ending

I've only read one of her books. It was quite a few years ago, and I STILL think about it. It was called "The Pact". It was a definite tear-jerker book. Not sure if that's what you want or not. I really, really liked it, but yeah... it hits hard.

The Pact, Plain Truth, and House Rules are my favorites. 19 Minutes and My Sister's Keeper were good ones too.

Get "The Notebook" for Nicholas Sparks defenitely!! I LOVE NOAH!! LOL

I like all of Jodi Picoults but I think Nineteen Seconds was one of my favorites. (or is it Nineteen Minutes?) I also like Handle With Care and The Pact...ummm yea for me they were all really good. Kinda draining though because they are so filled with emotion.

The Pact and My Sisters Keeper. Definitely.

Once you get through Picoult, check out Diane Chamberlain. She has been called the "southern version of Picoult" and has equally heart-gripping stories. LOVE her stuff.

I've liked all but one (doesn't matter which, I think it was just because I hated the women in it for doing what she did because she had the power, no on MADE her do it) and overall the others have all left me with the same feeling so I think oyu should just close your eyes and GRAB

I've read "19 Minutes" and "Vanishing acts" and they were the most thought provoking ones for me. So I vote for those. I liked "My sister's keeper" as well, wasn't so impressed with "The Pact" (I even skipped to the end around mideading and then never went back).

I have to say though, reading "The Pact" a few months after "Vanishing Acts" I felt like I've read a lot of the stuff in a better way before. Maybe it's the other way around if you read "The Pact" first. But for me "Vanishing Acts" had the more catching story as well.

If you are sensitive do not read my sister's keeper. I had to throw the book out because just seeing it made me cry.

19 minutes was one of my favorite books ever. It was absolutely fantastic and very thought provoking.

I love Jodi's books but cannot get through House Rules. It's just not grabbing me. The Pact and Plain Truth are both really good. My Sister's Keeper hit me hard. Great book. Tons of tears. I'm reading Change of Heart now and it's really good.

As for Nicholas Sparks, you can't go wrong. I have LOVED ALL of his books!
