Default NSBR: RIP Nathan

Could you guys PLEASE pray for a family in my hometown? A boy in our town last night was playing our football game, got hit, and didn't wake up. They life-flighted him and he passed away late last night. It's really hard on the whole community. I guess the boy who hit him while playing football is quitting football, and never going to play again. I feel so bad for him- it's NOT his fault. He had a football scholarship and everything to look forward to. It's really hard on the whole community. I'd just really love it if you would pray for his family...

OH my gosh! How tragic. I'll definitely remember Nathan's family in my prayers as well as the young man who hit him. So so sad.

OMG! I am about to throw up about this. I am so sorry and heartbroken for them. My son plays football and thank God his last game was last night because whenver I hear of things like this, it scares me to death and then I don't want him to play. Every time he goes down, I hold my breath until he gets up again. How horrible and tragic for that whole community. Prayers for all of them.

that is really awful...I will keep both families in my thoughts. I hope the boy who hit him can find someone to talk to. Anytime something really tragic happens it is so easy to take the blame on yourself and feel so much guilt for it.

Thank you all for your prayers. Nathan was very loved by our community. He was a star athlete in 3 sports, had a 4.0 GPA, was very active in church, was the homecoming king, never drank, smoked, did drugs, led a very very full life. It was supposed to be his last game of his high school career.

He truly was a blessing to our community. Over 800 people attended the candlelight vigil for him last night. And, within less than 24 hours of the pages being formed, his two fan pages total almost 2000 fans. He was really special in our community.

Our town's flags are at half mast. It's just devastating.

After hearing about Nathan's death, it was also reported that a boy in our metro area died from an ATV crash, and one of my mom's friend's son's is in a coma from a skateboarding accident. It's just so tragic to see life ripped away so young, but God has a plan for it! Last night, Nathan's mother told everyone, You KNOW he had fun, you KNOW he didn't use drugs or alcohol or anything, and you KNOW he had something special in his life. You can have it, too. Don't let him go without talking to someone about Christ. Please, don't let him go yet.

So so sad, My heart and prayers go out to the Family of Nathan...
That's great they had such great support may it continue... since losing a child is not something that will just heal when everyone goes away

Big Hugs for them

Very close to home here! I'm in the KCMO area and praying for the families and all those young kids who also lost a friend and classmate. So hard.
