Woohoo! My family all LOVES ice cream and what better day to indulge than today, National Ice Cream Day.

Awww man! I was raised on ice cream. My dad always used to say that "ice cream is a suitable meal replacement." If I had realized this was coming, I would have run to the store yesterday to get stuff to make some homemade ice cream today. Guess I'll have to settle for the store bought stuff that's already in my freezer.

Homemade ice cream is a great idea.

Growing up, I always wanted ice cream cakes on my birthday. This one looks good...

We went to Walmart to get ice cream just to celebrate today! We got Breyers Grasshopper Pie. But, my favorite is my homemade cinnamon! mmmm. ♥

this is perfect since I bought the kids a huge tub of rainbow sherbert yesterday and they don't know it's in the freezer!!!

Well, we've got some Blue Bell Dessert Trio in the freezer, so we'll have to celebrate tonight! For those of you who don't live in an area that sells Blue Bell, I'm so very sorry!

We went to Braum's tonight for double-dipped cones! The kids were happy to get out of the house for a bit and the ice cream was the perfect treat since it was about 105 here today!

Must be Blue Bell (it's all I'll buy). Moolennium Crunch, Butter Crunch, Coffee, Cookies 'N Cream (dug a whole cookie out the other day before my kids could find it - HA!)

I agree! My bff lives in NC and they don't sell it there and it makes her sad.

We made homemade Cookies and Cream today and it was soooo yummy! Should have taken some pics. Oh well, next weekend we'll be making Banana Pudding ice cream (smashed nanners and vanilla wafers in it OH MY) and I will take some then!
