Default It burns my noseholes

Do you have certain scents that just make you want to wretch? Why don't you like the smell?

For instance...the smell of anything sweet pea makes me wanna vomit. That's what I wore while I was preggo w Emma and just smelling it now fills me with anxiety.

So, do you have a scent or scents that does that to you?

Most men cologne that has a spicy scent to them... to me it smells like barf. I have to be the one that picks out my man's scent... I like it when it's more outdoorzy...

I hate the smell of lilacs (which most people love). Reminds me of death for some reason. I'm guessing there were lilacs at a funeral I attended, but I can't remember it. I'm also allergic, which probably doesn't help.

Gardenia anything - old lady icky smells

My husband's last deodorant - smelled like stale sweat to me - and then I caught Connor using the last bottle that had been an in case of emergency one..and I threw it away LOL

Granted, those are a part from other people's bodily smells we shouldn't have to smell, trash that's been building up way too long, etc. etc. etc.

Brussel sprouts and cat pee. lol

I have a very sensitive nose and if I pick up the slightest fragrance, my head immediately starts pounding. Perfumes, soaps, lotions, hair products, cigarette smoke...instant headache.

Hubba Bubba Watermelon bubblegum. When I was going through chemo, they advised chewing gum or sucking on hard candy as they adminstered the drugs through my port because you could taste the medicine. It was horrible. So I chewed watermelon gum through a good portion of that 9 months and to this day, just getting a whiff of it makes me unbelievably nauseated. And it's been 20 years! So strange how smells stick with you through your whole life.

Gardenias. They make me think of old people.

(No offense to anyone who wears/loves/has gardenias).

Subway (as in the food place) BLAH!
Eggs cooking (especially when DH cooks them, they are always OVER done)
Cigarette smoke

I have a super sensitive nose & while most of the time it doesn't make me gag, I can smell more than DH & he ends up thinking I'm crazy.

Hmm, after reading this I must have been a dirty hippie and a few other things..LOL

I cannot stand cheap perfume smells - like the kind they sell in CVS, Rite Aid, etc.
I do like bath and body lotions but I got one that is too strong and need to exchange it. That reminds me I should call to see if I can do that.

Artificial watermelon smells and tastes give me bad headaches. Bad.

It's evil stuff as far as I'm concerned...

Me too. If I just get a whiff of a floral scent, it gives me a splitting headache. It sucks.

I also HATE the smell of lavender. Everyone recommends it for calming baby & it's in a lot of baby products, but it makes me cringe & gives me a headache.

haha me too!

I hate the smell of cantaloupe. I don't eat it just because I hate the smell.

I'm also way over vanilla. Too many years in retail...

Gardenias/old lady smells *shudder* I like Brut, but that's because that's my dad's cologne

cabbage cooking. It is disgusting and reminds me of my mother-in-law because she makes it all the time.

old spice. Reminds me of my stepfather.

the colognes at Bath and Body Works for guys. They make me sick to my stomach.

I really only like Passion for men for guys cologne. My husband likes Obsession.

Saurkraut. Eww, grosses me out so bad I come close to puking. Also Pinesol. It was my biggest smell aversion when I was preggo and even know when I smell it, I think of that and get grossed out.
